Guide to Play 2048

Abstract

2048 is a number puzzle game played on a 4x4 grid. The goal is to combine equal numbers to create the number 2048.

How to Play

1. The game starts with two tiles occupied by the number 2 or 4.
2. Press one of the arrow keys to slide all the numbers in the grid up, down, left, or right.
3. When two equal numbers collide, they add up and combine into one.
4. Every time you make a move, a new 2 or 4 appears in an empty tile.
5. The game ends when you reach 2048 or when you can no longer make any moves.

As you can see, the equal numbers have combined and all have moved to the right:

Tips:

• Try to keep the larger numbers in the corners.
• Think ahead about your moves.
• Don't get discouraged if it seems difficult at first. You'll improve with practice!

In the top right, the game will show us how many attempts we have made so far:

Below the grid, you have your best score from all the games you have played.

Less than 2048

This game is extremely addictive but it is very slow to achieve the sum of 2048 in a single cell.

For this reason, I have implemented the possibility of choosing your goal: use the selector at the top left to set a more reasonable goal.
